When dry, the tea smells like wet tree bark and caramel-glazed walnuts. After washing, the tea leaves acquire a nutty, creamy, woody, baked aroma, with a hint of old, dry wood.
The taste of pu-erh is restrained and refined. The flavor reveals a sweet, "guntin" note, along with nutty notes, particularly walnuts and hazelnuts. By the third steep, the nutty notes give way to hints of dry wood and old oak bark, yet the taste remains vibrant and pleasant. The finish is dense and rich, lingering with woody and nutty notes.
For brewing, use no more than 5-7 grams of dry tea leaves; this will yield 6 steeps of delicious pu-erh. This tea can be brewed in either a teapot or a gaiwan; it's easy to use.
The resulting infusion is dark brown with a burgundy tint. The infusion is clear and of medium transparency.
Shu pu-erh 2018 "Menghai Gongting" from the company "Tea Line" noticeably invigorates, lifts the mood, calms the nerves, and makes the drinker more receptive.
