Tulin Tea Company is a professional tea enterprise integrating tea picking and processing. Its predecessor was the former Nanjiang County Tea Factory (Chinese: 南涧县茶厂, pinyin: Nán jiàn xiàn chá chǎng), founded in 1985. Tulin was only officially established in August 2007, and its registered capital was 10 million yuan. In addition, the company inherited the first registered trademark of Nanjiang Factory for Pu'er Tea (Chinese: 凤凰沱茶, pinyin: Fènghuáng tuóchá) - Phoenix (Fenghuang) Tucha.
The Tulin company is called the father of pu-erh, because it inherited the technology and concept of the unique product Phoenix tocha, which was created by the famous master Lin Xingyun (Chinese: 林兴云, pinyin: Lín Xìngyún). Due to the popularity and uniqueness of this product, after 2003 many companies created tea with a similar or the same name, but the tocha of the Tulin plant remained a model of quality. In August 2008, the image of the phoenix and the phrase "When the phoenix flies, a hundred birds fly" (Chinese: 凤凰于飞, 百鸟来朝, pinyin: Fènghuáng yú fēi, bǎi niǎo lái cháo) were registered as a trademark.
Currently, they are actively developing new brands for Wuliangshan Pu'er (Chinese: 无量山, pinyin: Wúliàng shān, literally translated as "Endless Mountains") and Xiaohe Tangshui green tea (Chinese: 小河淌水, pinyin: Xiǎohé tǎng shuǐ, literally translated as "Slow Flowing River"). Currently, the company has 250 employees, and in 2010, according to experts, the value of the Tulin brand reached 106 million yuan. The company currently produces 56 types of products. All products have passed food safety certification. In 2006, it received QS certification and a silver award in the Yunnan Pu'er King of Tea (Chinese: 普洱茶茶王) competition.
