Mengding Huang Ya tea is known worldwide for its unique taste and aroma. This tea variety is produced in the Mengding Mountains, which are located in the Sichuan Province of China. The Mengding Mountains are known for their fog and rain, which creates ideal conditions for the growth of tea trees. The name Mengding (蒙顶) itself is translated from Chinese as "Misty Peak".
The process of picking Mengding Huang Ya tea is very labor-intensive. Only large, fully formed buds or buds with one leaf removed are selected. Picking usually takes place in the spring in the second half of March.
In addition to the unique natural features of growth and spring harvesting, another secret of Mengding Huang Ya tea is its production technology. The processing begins with Sha Qin (Killing Green), where the collected tea leaves are heated in boilers at a temperature of 100-130 degrees. Then comes Sha Qing, where the freshness of the green tea is fixed. After this comes the key stage - Menghuang (Yellow Languishing), when the tea turns yellow and acquires its unique taste qualities.
The result is a tea with languid undertones in the taste, vaguely reminiscent of the delicate notes of Long Jing with warm summer tones. The taste of Meng Ding Huang Ya is light, clean, soft, subtle, delicate and balanced. When brewed optimally, it is sweet and refreshing, with notes of almond. With long exposures, a piquant astringency can appear.
This tea relaxes and immerses you in a soft, pleasant state. Its taste and aroma create an atmosphere of coziness and comfort, allowing you to enjoy every sip of this wonderful drink.
