Title: " Huangshan Mao Feng "
Translation: " Hairy Peaks of Huangshan "*
Whale. 黄山毛峰, pinyin huángshān máo fēng
* Huangshan translates as Yellow Mountains.
Origin: Huangshan City (Chinese: 黄山, pinyin huángshān), Anhui Province (Chinese: 安徽, pinyin ānhuī), China.
Anhui Province is rich in a variety of teas. It produces yellow Huoshan Huang Ya, black Luan Lan Cha, and red Qimen, but its crown jewel is the award-winning green tea Huangshan Maofeng.
According to the Famous Teas of China (Chinese: 中国名茶, pinyin: zhōngguó míng chá), tea production in Huangshan began during the reign of the Song Emperor Jia You (Chinese: 嘉祐, pinyin: Jiāyòu) from 1056 to 1063. Today, this variety, along with Longjing (Chinese: 龍井, pinyin: lóngjǐng), is the most famous green tea in China.
Appearance, aroma and taste
The leaves and buds are twisted longitudinally and slightly curved. The infusion is light green with a yellow tint. The aroma is reminiscent of a blooming wild orchid. The taste is refreshing, with fruity notes, an oily texture, and a sweet aftertaste.
This tea is also written as "Huang Shan Mao Feng" or "Huangshan Maofeng" or "Huang Shan Mao Feng".
