Title: "Tan Bei Tieguanyin"
Translation: "Charcoal-grilled tieguanyin"
Whale. 炭焙铁观音, pinyin tàn bèi tiěguānyīn
Origin: Anxi County (Chinese: 安溪县, pinyin Ānxīxiàn), Quanzhou Urban District (Chinese: 泉州, pinyin Quánzhōu), Fujian Province (Chinese: 福建, pinyin Fújiàn).
This type of Tieguanyin was drunk before its green, unroasted form became fashionable. When producing Tanbei, the final heating stage is carried out using the traditional method, using charcoal for 5-10 hours. It's important that the temperature isn't too high; 50-60 degrees Celsius is ideal. This technique is also used to revive tea from previous harvests. This tea can be stored for a very long time, while retaining its fresh, floral bouquet.
Externally, the tea looks like light brown leaves on a stem with a hemispherical twist.
The aroma of the dried leaf is dominated by fresh, floral notes with woody undertones.
During the brewing process, nuances of peach, lilac, jasmine and orchids are revealed.
The infusion is clear, golden-green in color, closer to chestnut. The flavor is robust, juicy, full-bodied, buttery, and slightly sweet, with a lingering "aroma of fire."
Tan Bei Tieguanyin tea is a powerful natural antioxidant, containing a whole host of vitamins and minerals. It has a tonic and rejuvenating effect, promotes fat breakdown, cleanses and strengthens blood vessel walls, and normalizes blood pressure. Regular consumption promotes weight loss and improves the condition of skin and teeth. This amazing tea also increases productivity and simply lifts your mood.
