To produce GABA tea, after the leaves are picked and withered by heat and humidity, they are then treated in a high-nitrogen atmosphere for several hours, which promotes the formation of GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid). Then, to halt fermentation and oxidation, the tea leaves are dried. Higher drying temperatures darken the tea leaves, while lower temperatures preserve their green color.
"Alishan lü gaba" (阿里山绿, ālǐshān lǜ, "Alishan green") is a GABA tea from the Alishan mountains, a spherical oolong with green leaves, light, brightly acidic.
Alishan Lu Gaba is a worthy oolong tea with a classic, strong calming and concentrating effect, a delicate taste and a rich aroma.
The aroma is sweet and deep, milky, with hints of wildflowers, ripe melon, and vanilla. As you sip, Alishan Oolong Gaba reveals notes of young apricot, plum, and currant tartness. The flavor is soft and complex, combining floral and fruity notes with a refreshing, creamy finish. A wonderful choice for a smooth, refreshing summer tea!
GABA oolong is a tea that has undergone fermentation without oxygen, resulting in an increased content of gamma-aminobutyric acid, which has a beneficial effect on the human body.
The aroma, when warmed by the breath, is melodic, floral and fruity, with notes of lilac blossoms, spring primroses, biscuit cookies, and rowan blossoms. After washing, ripe mango, nectarine, and lungwort are added.
The taste is fresh and vibrant, with a slight cooling sensation and hints of mixed herbs, brewed in a thermos with thyme, linden, St. John's wort, and honey. Homemade apple and pear compote is added to the fourth steeping. The finish is refreshing and lingering, with hints of buckwheat honey, wild herbs, and multi-fruit juice.
This tea can be steeped up to eight times, producing a clear, light-yellow infusion. To prepare the tea, use 5-7 grams of dry tea leaves per 150 ml gaiwan or teapot, along with water at 90-95°C.
Alishan Lu Gaba is a worthy oolong with a classic, strong effect and a very aromatic tea bouquet, all at a very reasonable price.

GABA tea got its name due to the high content of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). Gamma-aminobutyric acid, in combination with other components of tea, has a completely amazing and complex effect on the human body. It lowers blood pressure, helps with atherosclerosis, headaches and dizziness, seasickness, stimulates brain activity in particular and the dynamics of nervous processes in general, improves thinking and memory, relieves hangover syndrome, has a high antioxidant effect - which means that it can have a preventive anti-cancer effect. Gamma-aminobutyric acid is similar in its effect to tranquilizers (diazepam, phenazepam), but is not addictive.
A cup of aromatic freshly brewed tea invigorates in the morning, gives strength during the day, warms in bad weather or refreshes in the heat. And if it is not just tea, but the famous GABA, the properties of which are improved compared to the traditional drink, then calmness, excellent health, high performance are guaranteed!
