Characteristics of the variety: it is a subspecies of the oolong tea “ Feng Huang Dan Cong ” (Russian: “Single bushes from Phoenix Mountain”, Chinese: 凤凰单丛, pinyin: fènghuáng dāncōng).
Origin: Guangdong Province (Chinese: 广东, pinyin guǎng dōng).
The bud and the first three leaves are collected in early and mid-April.
The mother tree grows on Mount Wudong in the Fengxiermao area (Chinese: 凤溪二茅) of the owner Li Jipeng, the subsequent generations are group bushes. The tree has large leaves, a height of 2.94 m, with a half-open crown 2.3 m wide, with medium ripening of buds. The second generation has a unique floral aroma. The variety got its name due to its similarity to osmanthus flowers. The leaves are soft, oval, light green with a shiny surface. One hundred buds weigh 115 grams, the buds are strong. Plants are propagated by cuttings. The age of each tree is more than 300 years.
The finished tea is straight-rolled, the color of eel scales. It has a natural floral aroma. The infusion is golden-yellow, transparent, with a thick smell of osmanthus. The taste is rich, sweetish, with a special dancong note. The tea bottom is green and soft.
In 1986, it scored a total of 99.85 points in the product competition and was the best among 134 tea samples, receiving the title of national treasure. It won a gold medal at the second agricultural fair of China. In 1999, it was recognized as the famous tea of Guangdong at the international exhibition.
This tea is sometimes written as Gui Hua Xiang Dan Cun.

The taste of this dancong is unusually subtle, aristocratic, with a delicate floral profile, with fruity sweetness and light citrus freshness. During the tea drinking process, the tea retains its taste profile well; as the steepings increase, a powerful taste ensemble is born, a light bitterness and citrus tones appear.
This oolong can be brewed up to 6 times; to prepare the infusion, you will need 4-7 g of tea per 150-200 ml of Yixing clay teapot or gaiwan.
The aftertaste is sweetish, with fruity and floral nuances, juicy and long-lasting.
Fenghuang Dancong Guihua Xiang is a tea with a strong tea Qi. During the tea drinking process, the whole body feels warmed up, the energy moves in the body, and a light meditative state appears. The tea tones well, gives strength and confidence, and sets you up for communication.

In Guangdong Province, the southernmost and warmest province of China, in the counties of Chao'an, Shaoping, and Qiaoling, they make special Dan Cong (Single Bush) oolongs.
