Translation: "single bushes of 'aroma gun'"
Whale. 贡香单丛, pinyin gòng xiāng dāncōng
Characteristics of the variety: it is a subspecies of the oolong tea “ Feng Huang Dan Cun ” (Russian: “single bushes from Mount Phoenix”, Chinese: 凤凰单丛, pinyin: fènghuáng dāncōng).
Origin: Guangdong Province (Chinese: 广东, pinyin guǎng dōng).
The character "gong" (Chinese: 贡, pinyin: gòng) in the local dialect is an adjective used to describe a strong aroma and flavor. The tea grows on bushy plants with small leaves, an open crown, and pointed green leaves. The trees are over 350 years old. They grow in a garden called "Xiashushan" (Chinese: 下树山, pinyin: xià shù shān) in the village of Zhongxinyan on Mount Wudong at an altitude of 1,000 meters.
A dan cong with a distinct aroma. It features large, tightly twisted, gray-brown leaves. The aroma is dominated by a strong note of pistachio. When washed, the leaves turn green and oily. When steeped, the aroma rises high, filling every nook and cranny. The infusion is yellow-orange and clear. The taste is sweet and refreshing, with light floral notes. A rich, unique aroma lingers in the teacup. This tea is resistant to steeping.

When dry, the tea leaf has vibrant aromas, including pumpkin seeds, dried fruit, and a subtle hint of vanilla.
After rinsing, a candy-like sourness with a hint of multi-fruit juice is added.
The brewed tea has a rich, vibrant, flowing, spicy-fruity flavor. It has a slight bitterness and citrus freshness. By the fourth steeping, a tartness sets in, and the infusion becomes watery.
This oolong tea can be steeped up to five times at a ratio of 5 grams of tea per 150-200 ml in a gaiwan or Yixing clay teapot. The finished infusion is light yellow with a light green tint. The aftertaste isn't immediately noticeable, gradually intensifying into a sweet and tart candy-like flavor.
Gong Xiang Dan Cong tea works very gently and carefully, gradually relaxing and calming. It motivates, inspires, and helps you refocus.
This is an excellent oolong for leisurely tea drinking, alone or in the company of interesting people.

In Guangdong Province, the southernmost and warmest province of China, in the counties of Chao'an, Shaoping, and Qiaoling, they make special Dan Cong (Single Bush) oolongs. The most famous of this group of oolongs is Feng Huang Dan Cong. It, like other varieties, is collected from a specific bush. As a result, each batch has its own unique characteristics.
