Tong tian xiang dancong
Name: Tong tian xiang dancun
Translation: "single bushes 'aroma reaching the sky'"
Whale. 通天香单从, pinyin tōng tiān xiāng dāncōng
When brewed, the aroma rises and spreads so high that the tea was given the name "reaching the sky". The trees are 300 years old and grow at an altitude of 1000 meters. The tea grows in a place protected from the wind in a ravine near a lake. The tree is as tall as two people, slender and graceful. The trunk is spotted, the branches are spreading, the crown is like an umbrella.
According to legend, tea leaves were first dried in the sun and then processed in a kiln. One day, a girl picker took shelter from the rain under a tree and covered her tea basket with a cloak. But the tea got wet and, surprisingly, smelled fragrant. Then she decided to make tea the traditional way, despite the wet raw materials. As a result, a wonderful aromatic variety was obtained, which was called "Zongsoojia" (hidden under a cloak). And already in the 20th century, it was renamed "Tongtianxiang" (aroma reaching the sky). Southerners pronounce it approximately "Tong tien xiang".
Dry tea consists of tightly twisted grey-green leaves (eel color). The aroma is fresh, with hints of pollen, meadow, and ginger. The infusion is golden-yellow. The taste is deep and pleasant, with a creamy consistency. A persistent sweet aftertaste. The tea bottom (spent leaf) is smooth, dark green with a crimson edge.
