Pu'er resin (Chinese: 茶膏, pinyin: chagāo) or literally translated from Chinese as "tea paste" is a unique tea product that is hard to find an equal to. It does not look like anything special - small pieces of black color.
When dry, it has a fresh, bright, slightly sour aroma.
The taste is soft, warm, bright, sweet and sour, reminiscent of old aged sheng. The taste contains a lot of dried fruits, wild herbs, fruity-floral notes, homemade pastila.
The aftertaste is moderately tart, silky, tingling. Reminds me of fruit and berry puree, apple pastille.
Due to the rapid absorption of highly active substances, sheng puer resin instantly invigorates. The effect is comparable to young shengs from raw materials from ancient wild trees. It is worth drinking 1 cup, as you will immediately feel the tonic effect, mood lift, concentration, you will immediately want to do something. Unprepared people should not consume a lot of this resin, because the heartbeat may increase.
Brewing method: dissolve 1 resin granule in 300-500 ml of boiling water. A thermos or Chahai is perfect for this. You can stir the drink to completely dissolve it. To adjust the strength of the drink, you must either dilute it by adding hot water or add another 1, 2 resin granules.
Sheng puer resin in pads (chagao, tea paste) is a very tasty, healthy and convenient product.
