The 2006 Mengku Guhuabing Sheng Pu'er is an aged, collectible cake from a renowned tea factory renowned for its high-quality pu'er teas, unique recipes, and strong tea quality. Today, the Mengku tea factory is one of the most elite in China.
The dried tea leaves convey subtle, aged aromas with notes of agar-agar marmalade and herbs carefully dried in the attic of a country house.
After washing, it intensifies, adding hints of sweet pickled apples, light menthol, and wild honey.
The brewed pu-erh tea has a sweet and sour flavor, with notes of homemade compote made from ripe gooseberries and plums. The tea infusion is oily and viscous, silky and slightly tingling, with a pleasant aftertaste reminiscent of the mint candies from childhood, "Kholodok."
With infusions, a silky texture with a slight bitterness is added, and the infusion gains strength.
The aftertaste comes after some time, the tea fills the entire mouth with a pleasant apple sourness with the sweetness of Duchess candies.
A well-used Yixing clay teapot is ideal for brewing this pu-erh; it will fully unlock the full potential of the raw materials from ancient tea trees. The ideal brewing ratio for this tea is 5-6 grams per 100 ml; this is the only way to fully appreciate all the subtleties of the tea's bouquet and its Qi.
This pu-erh tea instantly sobers and improves one's perception of the surrounding world, sets the right mood, concentrates, and invigorates. It simultaneously relaxes, calms, and harmonizes.
This is an excellent option for a thoughtful ceremonial tea party, when you want to fully appreciate the tea and its full potential.
