Jingdong Shaihong: A Treasure from the Heart of Ancient Tea Trees
Red tea Jindong shaihong means that this tea was grown in Jindong County: Jindong Yi Autonomous County (Chinese: 景东彝族自治县, pinyin: Jǐngdōng Yízú zìzhìxiàn) is an autonomous county of the city of Pu'er, Yunnan Province (PRC). The word Shaihong (Chinese: 晒红, pinyin: Shài hóng) translated from Chinese literally means "tanned", that is, in other words, it is "sun-dried" tea. And although the material for the tea was pu-erh trees, the tea itself does not belong to pu-erh, but belongs to the category of red teas. This tea is famous for its rich taste, bright aroma and multifaceted beneficial properties.

The history of Jindong Shaihong is closely linked to the ancient tea cultures of Yunnan. The puer trees on which this tea grows are considered to be among the oldest in the world. Due to the unique climate conditions and rich soil, tea grown in Jindong has special characteristics.
