Sheng Puer from the Mountains 老班章 Lao Ban Zhang

The Chinese themselves sometimes call this village Xiao Ban Zhang, that is, small Ban Zhang, because only about 500 people live here. The main and, one might say, the only product of this settlement is, of course, the production of puer.

Arriving in the village, the guys met local tea producers who agreed to show them their plantations. It is worth noting that it is normal for the Chinese to taste raw tea leaves, although, to tell the truth, this taste is in no way connected with the taste of the tea that will be obtained later, and not everyone will like this taste, since it is bitter. We photographed old tea trees that are several hundred years old and a kilogram of leaves from the oldest of them costs 2,500,000 rubles!!! And these are still raw leaves. After cooking, the cost will increase even more. However, Lao Ban Zhang never has problems with sales :)
