Longjing Village and West Lake
Video shot by the Tea Line team in Hangzhou (杭州市, hángzhōushì), Longjing Village (龙井村, lóngjǐngcūn), near West Lake (西湖, xīhú) and the surrounding area. In Longjing Village, you can see plantations of Chinese green tea Dragon Well (龙井茶, lóngjǐng chá). Although tea is actually produced here, the whole village now looks like a staging area for tourists...
As such, tea tasting here costs a considerable amount, unlike in ordinary tea-producing areas and their tea markets. Here we will look at the local method of brewing tea, the production of Longjing, its plantations and harvesting. The small village cannot cope with the influx of tourists and a natural transport collapse forms on the roads, and next to the village there is a temple in the courtyard of which there is the very same Dragon Well. The Chinese believed that the dragon from the West Lake lived in this well. Next to the West Lake itself there is a historical museum of tea culture, where types of tea, pressing and production are presented, even tea huts with mannequins. After Hangzhou we went to Yixing (宜兴, yíxīng xiàn), footage from the train can be seen at the end of the video.
