Puer in bamboo leaves
Recently, more and more often on the Internet there is information that in fact, puerh bricks are wrapped not in bamboo leaves, but in palm leaves. And the fact that puerh in bamboo leaves is a myth. I decided to find out more about this from my new friends who own a small puerh factory, producing delicious puerhs in individual, limited quantities, which should definitely appear in our store in the near future.
They had just returned from a business trip to Yunnan, to the Yiwu Mountains, and brought with them the freshest pu'er, which is being collected very actively at this time. It was incredibly interesting and pleasant to try such pu'er. After the first bowl, I completely forgot about time and could not stop until I had tried almost all the samples of raw material from which the cakes would be pressed in the future. I tried raw materials from different mountains, from different trees, the age of which varied from 150 to 700 years.
After such an extensive tasting, I am surprised that I did not forget what I came to them about. I told them about the information I read on the Internet, thereby surprising them very much. They heard for the first time that puer is wrapped in palm leaves. But at the same time, puer is not exactly wrapped in bamboo leaves. It is something like bark. It is difficult to explain in words, it is better to look at the photo.
And this is yet another confirmation that there is a huge amount of unreliable and unverified information on the Internet that is transferred from site to site.
